March for Change in West New York
Town Commissioner candidate Adil Ahmed, running as an independent outsider in a year when political machine infighting is dominating West New York politics, is organizing a March and GOTV rally next Saturday, May 11.
Meet at 5715 Madison Street in West New York at 9:30AM for a march to Town Hall, where the people of the town will share their stories of unfairness in the current government, and their hopes for change. Support the people of West New York as they work to turn their energy into action.
(And as this should wrap up at around 11AM, that will give you plenty of time to join Force the Issue NJ at Zeppelin Hall Biergarten, as they celebrate their merger with Resistance JC from 1PM - 5PM.)
Who to Tweet
New Jersey exists in a special kind of medium vacuum.
And without local news publications like the Jersey Journal, the little coverage we receive in Hudson County may disappear.
This week, the Jersey Journal Guild asks local residents to help their campaign to #SaveTheJersey by tweeting @JerseyJournal, emailing editor/publisher David Blomquist, or calling 201-217-2429, and asking the paper's owners to reinvest in our local paper.
