With just 9 days left until the 2019 election, we've got some quick (election and non-election) actions for this week:
If you haven't already, check out the responses to JC Together's questionnaire for Jersey City School Board candidates. We like Tara Stafford's deep consideration of funding issues, and we appreciate the Change for Children slate's mention of PILOT funds, but mostly, we just think no one should vote for Sudhan Thomas.
We support "Yes" on Jersey City Ballot Question #1. It's simple--regulating short-term rentals is good for housing cost and supply.
Friends of Liberty State Park is asking NJ residents to call NJ Senator Bob Smith to urge him to post the LSP Protection Act, Senate bill S3357, which will permanently protect the park from developers.
Rutgers University is conducting a survey of PATH riders (and other NJ to NY commuters), with a random drawing for a $250 grand prize for all participants.
The Jersey City Office of Sustainability is hosting a Climate Action Plan Public Meeting on Thursday, November 7, at 6:30 PM at City Hall.
And, of course, don't forget to call your House Reps and tell them your opinion on the Impeachment Inquiry. Give them a call:
