A Nine-Week Plan

With Labor Day weekend soon to be in the past, it's time to roll up our sleeves.

As promised, NJ-08 for Progress, along with a (growing) list of local activists, will have plenty for those of us in Hudson County to do to flip the House over the next nine weeks. And the more people who join, the more we can do.

We will be holding at least one weeknight event locally every week, focusing on writing postcards and phone-banking to get out the vote in New Jersey's 3rd, 7th, and 11th Congressional Districts.

We will also be organizing at least one trip per weekend leaving from Jersey City to canvass in places like Union, Morris, Essex, and Ocean county.

And we're making it easy--all of the events we're planning will be listed on this handy Google Sheet.  We'll also be posting the events on our Facebook page, as well as events calendars organized by Indivisible and Swing Left. 

There's even space for the leaders out there (and we know that's you!) to sign up to captain a canvassing trip.  All you need is a willingness to coordinate with people locally to make sure you all get to your destination, and make sure the campaigns know you are coming.

If you're interested in canvassing, or volunteering in any way, be sure to fill out our Volunteer to Canvass form.  Face-to-face contact through canvassing is proven to be the most effective way to get people to vote!
